George Stephenson returns to the GK world with Black Heart Enterprises and the release of their third life size wall bust the; T-800 Terminator with light up eye. Having already made heads turn earlier this year with the release of Medusa and Mr. Hyde, George is offering the T-800 bust in a limited edition. George is no stranger to the GK world having been the original owner and creator of Geometric Designs a classic GK company that offered some classic kits back in the early days of the hobby. The bust was sculpted by the very talented Joe Simon and was cast by Mark Brokaw (Earthbound Studios).

The casting  by Brokaw is flawless as always. I honestly could not find any seam lines to sand. Now the first thing I wanted to address was the wiring for the LED light. The wiring was relatively simple black to black and red to red. I made a small shelf for the battery to sit on out of sheet plastic but the battery can be mounted anywhere inside the bust with some velcro.
George will include a simple wiring diagram with all future kits. The only thing I would change on this design would be too add a screw hole notch for hanging the bust on the wall that was molded into the back of the casting. I had to guess as to it's placement due to the overall balance of the bust and that was a bit tricky. Otherwise you can get to painting in no time flat.
The bust was primed  in flat white and gray, white for flesh and gray for endoskeleton areas. I used a simple baffle from a sheet of paper to block the paints from overspraying each other too much. At this point I did a test of the light to get an idea of what it would look like. I see lots of potential!
I also sanded down the groove around the iris of the eye. I had a long conversation with George at WonderFest expressing my dismay about hard edged iris cutouts and how they make for an
unrealistic look to the edge of an eye. George was more than understanding as he expressed the same frustration when painting his Medusa. So all future busts will now feature smooth
areas within the eye.  Thanks George!
